BIO

Daniel Vincent Gordh is a California native, born in Culver City and raised in Marin County, just north of San Francisco, on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge. Daniel Spent his childhood playing every sport imaginable, trying with varied success to avoid fruits and vegetables, and finding multiplicitous outlets for his (over)active imagination.

Daniel’s acting career began at Redwood High School's acclaimed EPIC (Ensemble Production Company) where he wrote, directed, and appeared in multiple productions. During this time Daniel also began voice lessons and his study of improv with Bay Area Theatre Sports.

Daniel continued studying acting and writing at the University of California, San Diego, where he received his B.A. in Theatre and where he appeared in numerous productions, including the role of Claude in "
HAIR", and Sir Harry in "Once Upon a Mattress".

Daniel also continued to write in College, finishing several feature-length screenplays, full-length plays, and multiple one-acts. His play "
Sorely Missed: Archer and Hopeful Encounter" was produced at The Blank Theatre’s Young Playwright’s Festival and starred Travis Brorsen and Abigail Spencer ("Cowboys Vs. Aliens", "Mad Men", "Angela’s Eyes") and his play "Landscape, Cityscape" was produced as part of UCSD’s New Play Spectacular. Also while in College, Daniel had his first feature film produced, a collaboration with writer David Largman Murray. The film, "Night Watcher", in which Daniel also appears as an actor, was directed by brother Will Gordh, and has since found distribution with Lionsgate Entertainment.

Daniel also competed in springboard diving throughout college, qualifying three-times for the Division II NCAA national championships, and garnering
5 All-American Honors as well as many other athletic awards.

While actively continuing to train as an actor, Daniel has remained busy between film, theatre, and TV projects. Daniel has appeared in several critically acclaimed theatrical productions throughout Los Angeles, including the West Coast Premiere of Jon Marans' "
The Temperamentals" at The Blank Theatre Company, the world premiere of "Robots Vs. Fake Robots" at The Powerhouse Theatre and "The Threepenny Opera" at Long Beach’s International City Theatre.

Daniel has also been lucky enough to work on a variety of incredible workshop productions including a variety of new musicals such as: "
BERMUDA!" at The Broad Stage with Josh Gad ("Book of Mormon", "The Rocker", "21") and Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help, Terminator: Salvation) directed by Emily Weisberg , The Siamese Sex Show with Jon Huertas ("Castle") directed by Daniel Henning, "Post Office", at Center Theatre Group directed by Mark Brokaw, and many more.

You also may recognize Daniel from his work in TV and Film -
COLD CASE, MAD MEN, BLACK VELVET (feature), NIGHT WATCHER (feature) or many other indie short and feature projects.

Daniel is also one of the founding members of the Natural Disastronauts Sketch Comedy Troupe. Recently, Daniel created/wrote/co-directed and starred in an original comedy series for Cracked.com called "
The Cracked Advice Board" which has already accumulated over 1 million views among the first four episodes. Daniel also performs with Those Aren’t Muskets sketch comedy, as well as with the good people at Cracked.com.
